Ironically, 2018 in numerology is an 11, which is a Master number. The main positive trait of this Master number is being very capable through setting specific goals and using your intuitive instincts to lead you and guide you to accomplishing the concrete goals you set for yourself. If we get caught up in the emotions of the moment or world around us, this distraction will drag our energy away from utilizing it to focus on our own specific goals, and unfortunately we will incur self-sabotage. I know that I am definitely guilty of this self-sabotage act as it is often easier to veer into other people’s issues or get caught up in the emotional struggles of the external world rather than stay focused on the specific goals and actions I’ve planned to accomplish.
The “self” in self-sabotage strives to do everything it can to thwart where the universe is so willing trying to lead and guide us through our intuitive knowing’s and feelings, whereas the self through our emotions will do all it can to stop us. We all are very intuitive, but the intuitive side often takes us outside our comfort zone. When fear or other emotions come into play, we tend to lose the focus, motivation, inspiration and often the perseverance to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and into the new energy and situations where the universe is going to bring us new horizons and growth.
Jean and I just returned from our eventful trip to China that definitely moved me outside some boundaries that I had allowed to take full advantage of me. My amazing astrologer friend from New Zealand, Deidre Wilton (https://star-wise.com/) had done my Solar return reading for 2018 based on me spending my birthday in Shanghai, China. With the astrological energy anchored for another year, the stars were telling me it was time to move to the forefront, which is really testing my confidence, and my ego as China continues to unfold and 2018 begins. With Jean’s assistance, I am going to try and boost my Solar return energy with the attributes of the Master number 11 energy. Specific goals are paramount to bringing to fruition those intuitive ideas, but it starts with self-discipline and awareness of my self-sabotage so that I don’t drift back to my comfort zone and live off procrastination and the famous saying, “I’ll do it tomorrow!”
I would urge everyone to try and use the attributes of the 2018 energy, I know I am going to try and feast on it rather than the crazy stuff that is going on in the world around me. At the end of the day, I have no control over the upside down world around me, but I definitely have control over my world if I can get by my own self-sabotage.
Have a great month and great New Year! Make 2018 a new beginning…
P.S. Here is a great video someone just sent me on focusing on our own issues. It is a great message contained in one of the early nursery rhymes I learned as a child. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=prince+ea+row+your+boat
